Associate Liaison Kok Yek Yee introducing Eric Choong, his book and the Kechara organization

At 4pm on Saturday, 20th June 2009, Kechara Media & Publication (KMP) organized a Chinese Book Club at Kechara Paradise (KP), Bangsar. The book up for discussion this session was “In Full Bloom” written by Eric Choong, renowned Malaysian designer and also, committee member of Kechara House. Eric led the discussion together with KMP’s Chinese Department Senior Editor, Associate Liaison Kok Yek Yee. Around 20 people participated in the discussion of which most  were new to the Kechara scene.

The discussion started with Associate Liaison Kok Yek Yee giving an introduction of Eric Choong, his book and the Kechara organization. Eric Choong later went on to speak about his life experiences included in his book. How he met Rinpoche and the Dharma, how Rinpoche and the Dharma has helped him and changed his life and how he sees practicing Dharma as an investment for his life. The participants listened very attentively. Some of them shared their personal experiences and gave their point of view on the subject being discussed.

It was a very interesting discussion which gave a new perspective on Dharma practice, specifically that practiced at Kechara House. After the book club discussion, the participants stayed back to chat with each other, while others couldn’t resist to browse around KP and do some shopping.

If you wish to participate in our future Chinese book clubs, please contact Kok Yek Yee at 012-388 3390.
